Tim’s wife Margaret, who chose the treble clef for our logo, thinks of these things in tonal terms and said the nose was deep and dense, i.e. of the base register. 2003 Coney Pizzicato’s aroma is fully matched on the palate with concentrated sweet fruits and spice. Mouthfeel is full and supple with fine and firm tannins. Great length.

2007 Coney Pizzicato Pinot Noir has a medium vibrant colour with crimson hues. Subtle cherries and spice are the dominant fruit notes, with a savoury and fragrant nose. Its aroma is well matched on the palate with concentrated sweet fruits and spice. Mouth feel is full and supple with fine and firm tannins. Good length. Can be cellared confidently until 2013.
Akarua Cadence Pinot Noir 2007
The 2007 Cadence has complex notes of plum, bramble and spice. The palate is rich with layers of dark berry fruits supported by ripe tannins, integrated oak and a long spicy finish. Akarua Cadence has an inviting mid palate which is matched by its great length and complexity.
